We kept in touch in later years because I ran a fishing tourney in Cabo and so we met in Cabo with his family and had dinner. He really was a great classmate, family man and loyal friend to others and he did enjoy his fishing. He wasn't at the 50th and we just lost track of each other the past couple years after I retired.  don't know what his illness was. But condolences to all friends and family for this loss. rest in peace, Mike.

I would like to post a memory about Mike from about 54 years ago.

Mike McGuirk, Jim Reis, and I spent the day at the beach (Bay Street, of course). Mike's father came to pick us up and the three of us sat in the bed of his father's pick up truck. I had a large container of A&W Root Beer and everytime I attempted to take a sip his dad would hit the accelerator just enough to to splash the Root Beer all over me!! I think Mike knew what was going on but it took me a few missed sips to finally catch on!

Fun Times! Great memories!

Rest in peace my friend and my condolences to his family.
