Todd died in May of 2000. As a long life friend of Todd's and was the very last person to see and talk to him before he died. For those of you who hardly new Todd he was a great friend and guy. He would give you the shirt off his back, and would help others before he would help himself.
In his teenage years he chose the wrong path in life. I did all I could do to have him follow me down my path. There are times I feel responsible for his death. I drove him to Santa Rosa to take him to a friends house and he never made it there. He had asked me for money before he got out of the car ( I had money on me ) but I told him I didn't have any, that he could take what was in my ashtray, so he emtied it out and took what I had. It was enough to buy a plastic squirt gun and black spray paint from longs. He decided to hold up a little store by SRJC. The clerk gave him a little cash and Todd fled on foot. The clerk called 911 saying he had been held up and he was pretty sure he had a plastic gun. The police caught up to him a block away and stopped him and told him to get to the ground face first. He did! With Todd laying on the ground face down the police asked him to show his gun( which was between he and the ground) when he showed the gun and held it up he made the mistake of pointing the gun towards the police. 9 shots later from police, he was taken to SR mem. hos, where he later died. I could go on and on. I was called 3 hours I dropped him off and told he was dead.
If I had just given him money he possibly would still be here today.
Todd left behind a daughter who will never know him.
