Shelli O'Brien died in 1988 after a two year illness at the age of 25. She developed blood clots which then traveled throughout her body and ended up in her lungs. The clots were stopping her body from properly oxygenating her blood. As a result her system began shutting down. She died July 18, 1988. It was horrible and painful but she was brave and maintained her spirit to the end.
