Ellen and I were close friends in our junior and senior years... we lost track of each other, which wasn't unusual after graduation and SRJC when many of us moved elsewhere. I looked for Ellen at the reunions I attended beginning with the 10 year, but she wasn't there. Ellen was lovely and a wonderful person and she and I had a lot of fun in H.S. I have missed her all these years and so sorry to know that she is no longer with us. We do have our pictures and memories and she is dearly remembered.
Ellen and I were roommates in San Francisco after her graduation from Sac State. Our birthdays were only 8 days apart and we tried to get together at least once a year to celebrate the occasion . Ellen married her husband Jere Owen in 1979. They lived in Sacramento ever since. She rescued many cats and dogs long before it was in vogue. Ellen was a lovely person with a beautiful spirit. She passed away in January 2004 after battling two different cancers over her final years. I miss her and our annual get togethers!
