Alvin Bryan

Passed away suddenly in Santa Rosa on February 19, 2012 at the age of 62. A native of Scotia, CA, Al was a resident of Santa Rosa for the past 57 years. He is lovingly survived by his wife Linda (Sorensen) Bryan of Santa Rosa; son, Shaun, his wife Amy and their children Michael and Ashley of Windsor; daughter Tracy Bryan Cason, her husband Brian and their children Madison and Austin of Reno, NV; brother Curtis Bryan and wife Evonne and their children John and Jess, all of Santa Rosa; aunt Jean Fisher of Fortuna; and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. Al received his Associate Arts Degree in Electronics from Santa Rosa Junior College. He worked for the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) for 16 years; Jim & Jim's Yamaha for ten years; owned Videotronics in Larkfield for several years. After retiring he helped his son open and operate the Flying A gas and convenience mart on the corner of Montgomery Dr. and Summerfield Road. An active person, Al loved motorcycle touring, camping, fishing, history trivia, funny car racing, and he loved to tell a good joke. His family was first in his life. He was a dedicated and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He served his country through the U. S. Marine Corp. Reserve. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa. Private inurnment.
