RE: 82 Memories Posted Wednesday, May 2, 2012 03:32 PM This goes back a bit farther than high school, but I remember back at Slater Jr. High when you said something funny at lunch and made Sandy Kunz laugh and milk came out of her nose. Ooooh, she was so mad at you! I remember watching for a whole week while she would wait for you to drink you milk so she could try to make you laugh, and you were waiting, afraid to drink it. The bell would ring after lunch and she'd ask if you were going to let that milk go to waste, and you'd try to chug it. That was some funny stuff. Made me glad I didn't piss Sandy off. |

RE: 82 Memories Posted Thursday, May 3, 2012 09:23 AM The key to milk out of Sandy's nostrils was timing. |

RE: 82 Memories Posted Thursday, May 10, 2012 06:31 PM As I remember, Sandy was pretty easy to get mad--or at least to get her to pretend to be mad. She even hit me once, and of course I was always much too innocent for any such abuse. |

RE: 82 Memories Posted Friday, May 11, 2012 01:46 PM Yeah right. "too innocent," the word you're looking for there, Peter, is instigator. I remember going with Sandy to visit Adam sometime after high school. Adam was on a fast at the time, and Sandy was peppering her conversation with words like "snickers." She'd just slip the word into a sentence -- almost like a subliminal message. It was too funny, but it didn't even phase Adam. |

RE: 82 Memories Posted Friday, June 22, 2012 05:59 AM Hi guys, I've been reading your converstion about the milk situation LOL...I have many wonderful memories of Sandy and parties at her home and, as I recall she had great sense of humor; she could always make me laugh. Does anyone know if she will be at the reunion? |

RE: 82 Memories Posted Sunday, June 24, 2012 01:26 PM I haven't spoken to her about this reunion, but Sandy hasn't gone to any of them. Go figure.
She's married to this really nice English guy, John Moran. He writes plays for local theater groups in his spare time, among other hobbies. This is terrible, but I haven't talked to them in ages, but I get a Christmas card every year that my kids look forward to, eagerly. It features the (mis)adventures of Biff, a stuffed bear. (She had Ted beat by a decade, at least.) |

RE: 82 Memories Posted Tuesday, July 31, 2012 02:54 PM As far as I know, they still do. I have her phone number, I'll bring it to the reunion on Friday night. Or else you can send me a private message and I'll give you her contact info, okay? |

RE: 82 Memories Posted Wednesday, June 4, 2014 11:33 AM 0307101332-00.jpg I remember walking with Angel out to the field for phys ed one day. As we walked and talked as we always did(our first date was to be the Friday after she was killed, we already had it planned out). Tom Malugani thought he would sneak up behind me and jump/tackle me. Angel squeezed my hand just enough to make me look down at the approaching shadow. As Tom went to do his little thing, I deftly moved, caught him and threw him to the ground as hard as I could. I think that was the last time he bullied me or tried to push me around when he was on his own. The last time I saw him was standing in a movie theater line when I was back from teh Marines once. I was talking major smack to my friend about him, used his name to make sure he heard me, and h elooked, then cowared back to what he was doing, not saying a thing to the Marine who looked familiar as hell, but was much larger, deeper tanned, and held a wicked muscular confidance that would never be dominated by anyone, or anything, ever. |
