Doug died, at the age of 40, on October 16, 2004.
He was a long time friend and business associate of Mac Scott, the .45 ACP guru. Doug did work on my .45 and assisted me in putting a few finishing touches on it. He will be remembered and immortalized with anyone who ever shot a .45 or had one worked on in the first half of the last decade. The .45 community knows very well the capabilities of that small shop that used to be in a little town in Cotati. They knew the demi-gods who worked their majic on those .45 and .380 frames to make them the most reliable 1911 based frames to ever shoot a flying ashtray
