Chris was a freind of mine during and after we graduated. He went on to play in a few rock bands, but none werre as big as Sea Hags. They received a full contract with Chrysalis in 1983. If memory serves, it was that same year Chris OD'd.
When we were all asked teh question,"What do you wanna be when you grow up?" Chris's answer was,"I'm gonna be a rock n roll star. I'll make it big, play really good then OD" Not many of us actually live our dream, but Chris did just that. The lead guitarist of the band, and 'glue' that held it together, Danny Montoya, went on to play as a rock contract guitarist for Chrysalis. The last job he had that I knew about(I was always going somewhere for teh military) was playing lead for Linda Perry, who fronted Four Non Blondes in her solo project.
Chris was always laid back, and always had the best new rock. None of that Pop BS for him.
