School Story:
There are too many to detail. I remember our parent's involvement with fund raising to build the Gym, hanging out behind the scout hut to smoke, sneaking under the fence and down to the old quarry where we investigated the traces of macumba rituals; I remember running for school treasurer against Ernie Young, art classes with Mr. Ostegrin downstairs and across from Mrs Szeghetti's cafeteria, running track with JC, softball with Howard Westerfield and finding the bell tower (no bell ever hung there) above the auditorium which also turned out to be a good place to cop a smoke. I remember moving to Avenida Giovanni Gronchi -- I was in Mrs. Wing's third grade moving -- and fourth grade with the very scottish Mrs. Andrews whose assistant was Mrs. Pimentel.
