Cora and I were both short-timers at Graded (I only spent my senior year there, '74-'75) but she lived up the street from me on Haddock Lobo so we rode the bus together, and we had music in common. Anyone who was in the choir, madrigals, ensemble, or any of the musicals that year will remember her beautiful operatic voice. She was also a gifted artist, and as a graduation present she gave me a beautiful pencil portrait of an elderly gentleman whose face was full of life and character.
After graduation she went home to her beloved Minneapolis, and was studying to be a Christian Science nurse. She visited me once in San Francisco, and we corresponded regularly. When one of my letters was returned I learned that she was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident sometime around 1978.
