I got to know Kim about the time I was the Chaperone for the class of 1974's Senior trip to Foz de Iguacu and points south of Brasil. He was a nice friendly fellow with the strong love of his friends and family. Sadly, his passion for fast driving on Avenida Mourumbi was his undoing. I have vivid memories of his funeral in Mourumbi and the gentlemen singing at his grave site with his grieving father in a Scandinavian tradition.

I too remember Kim, his fast driving and the funeral with a Swedish flag draped coffin at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Peter Challenger officiating. Later that same year we moved to the house next door to the Kullman's on Inacio Borba.

Kim and I rode the same bus and sat together for years. We discussed everything from politics to romance, but more that anything else we talked about racing and what was going on at Interlagos. He was great on those cart.
Kim had visions of moving back to his beloved Denmark, with a detour to Iceland, which he informed me was actually very green!
He was one of my Graded buddies, and taken too soon!
My mother notified me we was in an accident. I sent him a get well card and I can still remember getting the letter from his father. It was so touching, it still brings tears to my eyes.
To me he will always the The Great Dane!!

I remember Kim bragging that he drove from São Paulo to Guarujá in 45 min!!!!!!!!!!
