David Skinner Bigelow IV passed away at age 62 of pancreatic cancer in Harrison NY on October 17, 2021. Born in Oak Park, IL, he was raised in WI, England, Canada, and Brazil. He attended Brown University and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. David spent his career in the financial services industry, most recently as a Managing Director at Fiduciary Trust International. He weathered tumultuous economic times with his buoyant personality and rock-solid integrity.

David was devoted to his children Davey, Andrew, Kira, and Meg and loved being with them at his family property in Vermont, where skiing was a favorite activity. He drew satisfaction from fund-raising for Wharton and his high school Escola Graduada de São Paulo and mentoring first-generation college students through Project Basta.

He is survived by his children and mother May; Uncle Harry and Aunts Betsy and Nancy; sister Hope and brothers Seth and Jonathan; sweetheart Cathy; former wife Rita; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a wide circle of friends. A memorial service was held at Christ’s Church, 2 Rectory St., Rye, NY at 11 am on November 6, 2021.
