Strange to hear that Todd's not on the planet - for I hoped he'd surface, we'd have a chance to connect: I suppose with this memorial we have. What a nice guy, Todd. Easy going. Always seemed to intuit the needs and concerns of others. Always willing to pitch-in. Like during yearbook photos when I didn't have a sport coat he said, "Here, use mine." So, over the years when I crack open the yearbook I always see me, and Todd, wearing the same jacket.
During my 6 months in Brasil, Todd was my boyfriend. He was kind, funny, supportive, and wonderfully positive to be around. He gave me confidence in myself at a young age and for that, I am forever thankful. I had always wondered what happened to Todd, why he wasn't at the reunion and now I know why...he left us at an early age. I only learned that he had died when I saw Arlene Moreno in NYC this summer. I was saddened when she told me and since then have thought about Todd and the wonderful gift of love and laughter he gave to all of us.
Todd died at the age of 23 from testicular cancer.
