My sister Lisa passed away 3 years after being diagnosed with ALS. This cruel disease took away her ability to move, communicate, ultimately breath. Her passing was a blessing in disguise. She stayed strong of spirit through it all. Many a night I lay awake trying to put myself in her shoes. We all knew how it would end, that did not make it any easier. Her poise and demeanor up to the end taught me a lot about life.....ironic. in life my sister, in death, my hero. Rest in peace dear Lisa, we shall laugh again on the other side.
