William Blaine Bryson, 51, of Myakka City, formerly of Sarasota, died April 24, 2011.
Blaine passed away after battling brain cancer for nearly two years.
He was a beloved husband, son, father, brother, grandfather and friend. Blaine will be forever missed by his wife Diane, son Cale Bryson, daughters Casey and Kelly Laird, parents Don and Mary Bryson, sisters Kimberly (Joe) Kopacz, Beth Bryson, Angela Bryson, granddaughters Wylie Joyce, Cooper Joyce, nieces Arianne Kopacz and Nicki Green, nephew Charlie Green, and countless friends.
Being an avid outdoorsman, Blaine enjoyed going to the Swamp Buggy Races, air boating in the Everglades, driving his buggy and four wheelers, fishing, hunting and diving in the Florida Keys. As a sports fan, Blaine enjoyed watching the Miami Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Bucs. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
Blaine was a friend to many and admired for his integrity and honesty. His work ethics were recognized during his career in the construction industry. Always known for going above and beyond, Blaine was very proud to have received several achievement awards during his career with Mike Carter Construction Inc.
A celebration of life will be 4 p.m., today at Church of Hope, 1560 Wendell Kent Rd. in Sarasota.
