James Goding Jones died on August 12, 2001 in Naples, Florida.  Jimmy was born on July 16, 1959 in Ann Arbor, Michigan and moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1964. At the time of his death he was married to Bobbi Rose.  Jimmy graduated from the University of Florida and Stetson Law School, and received a master's degree in tax law from the University of Denver.
