Julian Jose Savigne, 52, of Sarasota died March 28, 2011.
Julian was born July 4, 1958 in Santiago de Cuba, Oriente the son of Luis Ramon and Maria "Blanca" (Garraus) Savigne. In 1965 the family immigrated to the United States via Spain.
Julian graduated from Sarasota High School, received his Associate of Arts Degree minoring in Business Administration from Daytona Beach Community College, and both his Associate of Science Degree minoring in Aviation Safety and Bachelor of Science majoring in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he attended at Prescott, Arizona and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Julian was a licensed Commercial Pilot with 8000 hours as Pilot in Command, Zenger Miller Certified Facilitator, Dupont Certified Safety Facilitator, ATSSA Certified Florida Advance Work Zone Traffic Control Inspector, FDEP Certified Storm Water Inspector, ELB/US Healthworks Certified Occupational Safety Facilitator, National Transportation Safety Board Certified Accident Investigator, and Master Scuba Diver.
Julian's employment included: Administrator for Raytheon Aircraft, Broker and Pilot for Flight Source International, U.S. Jet Sales, Tom McCune Aircraft Sales, and Florida Flight Center, Marketing and pilot for Baker Electronics Honeywell Aerospace Division, Safety Manager for APAC/Ashland, Certified Substitute Teacher for the School Board of Sarasota County, and owned Wet Jet Pressure Cleaning.
In addition to his love of flying, Julian enjoyed all water sports, skateboarding, snow skiing, tennis, baseball, football, photography, art, horticulture, playing guitar, singing, was an aquarist, and motorcycle enthusiast.
Julian leaves to cherish his loving memory, his parents, Luis and Blanca; three brothers, Luis III, Alfredo, Francisco; one sister, Maria Walker; two nephews, Luis IV, Christian; three nieces, Lindsay, Emmalee, Ashley; five true friends, Kathy Horton, Ron Soto, David Caballero, Michele Chilson, Dory Martin; and his beloved dog, Dutch.
Julian found comfort in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. Julian loved and was loved.
