Rover was one of the sweetest, kindest, and most talented people I knew at Sarasota High School. He was tender-hearted and generous, as was his father, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
From the newspaper article I read about Rover's last days, waiting for a heart transplant, he used those days to lift the spirits of others.
I remember he had a "bad" heart, even in high school, but that "bad" heart was better than most in this world. He used that heart to love and serve his fellow man and got more and good use of it than most of us with whole, healthy hearts.
