Cause of Death: Car accident Sheldon was very good friends witht he Munro boys. I had taken a photograph of Sheldon in the hallway the weekend he was killed in a head-on collision. I did an ode to Sheldon in our Grade 11 yearbook.
There was a gang of us that hung out in Montgomery. Cindy Coakwell, Rick and Randy Munro, Terry Sampson, Shelley Currie, myself and a few others. Sheldon had a very different outlook on life. He was very easy going and I always told him he would start a new trend by his holey jeans that he wore! He was a very caring, outgoing friend who I looked up to as he had character. He was a walking story book, and a wealth of information. He remains a very special person to me and I will never forget him!! May the wind carry your soul to the destiny you wish to be and may your heart and soul be forever carefree. Your friend, Cheryl Elliot

I was in Sheldon's English class with Mrs Hall. He was smart and fast. And darn nice, but always afar and ahead of simple me.He told me that the best way to break in his new jeans was to get them wet in the mud, then let them dry on the line for three days and then they were ready to go. He wrote a neat short poem about 'water falling and I'm coming' with the words I'm coming cascading down the page in an arc.
I remember he was hitchhiking to see his brother in Oxbow when the car he got a ride in crashed. That was sad.
That full page picture of him smiling in the year book really captures an essence of him.

Sheldon was one of the best friends I've ever had in my life.I'll never forget the huge underground cave he dug in the middle of a field, where we'd go to get stoned and listen to old Pink Floyd and Emerson, Lake and Palmer. In fact it was Sheldon who turned me on to progressive rock and acid! Yes are my favourite band to this day!!
I was a pallbearer at his funeral, something I'll never forget. Not a day goes by without my thinking about him and it's been 32 years since he died! Hope you're riding your unicycle in heaven 'bro........

I also was one of Sheldon's good friends and proud to say a Pall bearer as well. I can't say any more than Don Epp has aready said. I also remember smokin some good tia stick in that field. Sheldon had a good taste in tunes, Rick Wakeman (YES), ELP, Allan Pasons Project. He was and is the only person I knew who could ride a unicycle. I miss him as well, see you on the next level.
