In Memory

Charles Jay McBurney

Charles Jay McBurney

Charles "Jay" McBurney, 74, of The Villages, Florida, was peacefully led home by his angels on July 18, 2020.
He was born on April 12, 1946, in New Castle to Robert and Alberta (Shanor) McBurney.
Jay worked alongside his father, owner of McBurney and Company Real Estate for more than 40 years. He was always grateful to have spent that time with his father and eventually became president/owner of the company.
Jay was a pillar of the community and received many accolades for his hard work and determination. He retired at age 62, taking time to ride his motorcycle and see the country with great friends.
Upon meeting the love of his life, Tracy Lutz, they moved to The Villages, Florida, in 2010, and were married in 2011 on Longboat Key beach in Sarasota, Florida.
Jay loved his life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He worked hard and played hard with all his heart. He was a gentle, loving, thoughtful and passionate man. He woke up in the morning happy and went to bed happy.
He made many friends in his neighborhood and was loved by everyone for being upbeat and funny.
He was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved riding in his golf cart that was yellow, white and black, he called it his "away game cart."
He was a faithful man of God and enjoyed attending North Lake Presbyterian Church, where he was a member for nine years.
He is sadly missed and survived by his wife, best friend and forever sweetie, Tracy (Lutz) McBurney and stepson, Corey.
A memorial celebration of his glorious life in heaven will be planned for a later date.
