Len, or "Burr" as we knew him, was one great guy. A year before his death Suzanne and I had an opportunity to visit him in Key West. Other than the usual physical signs of aging, he hadn't change. He was still gregarious, outspoken, optimistic and fun loving. We also had the chance to speak with several of his parishioners. They expressed how much they loved him; as a person, and as their spiritual leader. He is missed by all those who knew him.
Confession time: Len and I paired up for a physics project for Mr. Bacon's (?) class. We were going to make a ballistic pendulum. We would hit a known mass- a block of wood- with the mass of a .22 bullet, also known, and through the wonders of physcics, calculate the speed of the bullet on impact. We received a B+ as I recall. I now confess, Burr did all the work, I did none, but he turned the paper in under both our names. What a guy. Rest In Peace Friend.
