I remember when we were 17 Mark was the only one I could find on a school night to go down to the Mercer Arts Center at Midnight to watch The New York Dolls. We were both high on THC and God knows what else, and I had to go see The Dolls again as soon as I could to see if they were as great as I thought or if I was just too stoned to know better. And the next time they were just as incredible. Years later Dr. Larsen (I'm sure you all remember him) came to one of my shows in Atlanta and told me Mark was having a lot of mental issues and living on the streets of San Francisco. I was always a bad influence on my friends. I miss the guy a lot.
Sorry I won't be there for the reunion but I have a commitment I can't get out of. Hope to see you all at the 50th.
I was so sorry to hear of Marks passing. I knew things were not going well for him because his dad and my dad were good friends and always keep in touch with each other. I first met Mark in Seely Place. I was new to the school, nervous and shy. It was Mark who made me feel at home by befriending me. I have to admit I had a crush on him as did most of the girls in that class! I hope he has found peace. Love, Claudia

Mark was a brilliant artist and a dear friend. I saw him a couple of times in SF when I was in school in California. I was sad to hear of his passing.
