Mary Ellen Budge (Walsh)

We were opposite: Connie Enright was a short, curvy blond bundle of energy, while I was tall, thin, brunette (I’m shorter, heavier and greyer now). We had no common classes, but she was friends with one of my childhood neighbors. Whenever she saw me she would surprise me out of my study fog with a smile and cheerful “Hi Mary Ellen”. Like many of us at this reunion, I went on to marry, have beloved children, grandchildren, friends and family. I held position with ILoveNY that I loved and another doing audits that I didn’t. I toured Paris, rode a mechanical bull, dipped in Lake George’s Polar Plunge. Connie Enright apparently never had a chance. She was last seen in 1969 at Lums in Rotterdam, her empty car found the next day near Friendlys in Schenectady. Foul play was suspected. She was only 18.
