17 years old in the College Inn where I learned one of my favorite poems

                              The Robin

As I awoke this morning

when all sweet things are born

a robin perched upon my sill

to hail the coming morn

I smiled at he song and paused beside my bed

and gently closed the window

and crushed his foolish head
