Roy was my prom date, Roy was a high school pal, Roy was fun, Roy was kind, Roy was a friend. It was so wonderful to chat with him and his wife, Jane, at our 45th reunion. He still made me laugh with his funny stories. Each reunion I looked forward to reconnecting with this friend.

So sorry to learn of the passing of Roy Karlin. I have fond memories of him from junior high school on. He was my very first "date"--he bought me a 5-cent soda at Danny's store (across the street from Elmer Avenue School). I think we were about 11 years old at the time, but it was a very big deal...!

My condolences to his family and friends.

I am so saddened by Roy's death. He was one of the "good ones". I remember how friendly and humble he was, and how easily he laughed. It was a joy to see him at the reunion and find that he hadn't changed, save some gray hair and wisdom. My deepest condolences to his wife and family, and all those who were close to him.

I am so sorry to hear of Roy's passing. We had great fun in high school with a gang of friends.  Roy witnessed my first and only attempts at skiing! Roy was quietly witty and a good friend. My deepest condolences to his family.

I'm so sorry to learn that Roy has left us. I remember a weekend he visited at SUNY Binghamton during our freshman year--a familiar face among the sea of still-strangers at the time. Very special.
