William E. Wyso
Schenectady -- William E. Wyso, 55, of Rector Road in Scotia passed away at Albany Medical Center on Friday, March 4, 2005, after a short illness.
Born in Schenectady on September 6, 1949, he was son of Mary Wyso of Scotia and the late Ziggy Wyso. William was a graduate of Linton High School, class of 1967. He was a lifelong area resident. William was the owner and operator of Bill's of New York Custom Hot Rod and Interior Designs and Bill's Marine Canvas since 1977. Bill was a member of Capital Area Rods (C.A.R.), the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). He was also a member of the Scotia Glenville Elks and Guan Ho Ha Fishing and Gaming Club in Glenville. Bill was of the Catholic faith. Bill will be remembered for his love of building street rod cars and interiors and the numerous awards he won throughout his career and for the loving and devoted husband and father he was to his family. He will be greatly missed by his beloved dog, Zachary as well.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Mc Cann Wyso, whom he married on May 22, 1976; daughters, Kelly Marie Wyso and her fiance, Chris Ricketts of Schenectady; mother, Mary Wyso of Scotia; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 7 at the Church of St. Adalbert at 9 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at Light's Funeral Home, 1428 State Street, Schenectady on Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.
Interment will be in St. Adalbert's Cemetery.
