I had lost track of Nan and am so sorry I was not able to reach her before she passed. She was a great friend in high school and made my senior year the absolute best! When I think of fun times and there were many she is always a part of them. I remember her nephew Douggie at 3 naming all his body parts with the proper clinical names (his mom was a nurse!) Nan in that powder blue, gossamer prom dress, what a vision and bless our hearts, coreographing the Pep Squad's one and only on field dance performance in her driveway. Our graduation night contest that only a few of us took part in. In my mind she will always look just as she does in this picture, young, beautiful with a life full of promise. Nan, you will always be in my heart!

For all of her adult life Nan was just as she was when we knew her. Kind, loving, and good hearted. I was lucky to have found her again and renew our friendship. Years after the passing of her first husband, she was finding happiness in her life again. With her girls settling into their lives, Nan had found the new love of her life. Sadly, her happiness was short lived. Just three months after her marriage to Domenico, she suffered a heart attack and died in March of 2006. I miss our talks and her perspective on life. Her strength and love were amazing. If there is a God then this was one of his angels on earth. Rest in peace my friend.
