Kim, that was nice. We need to tell the people we care about, that we do. Some of them may not realize it.

Pegi,
I have been secretly stocking you for the last 30 years,
I love you.....

God that feels good!

LOL Robert, you didn't even know I was there in High School. I did my best not to stand out too much. Maybe a little bit.

Hey, who remembers the smoking area behind the 300 building our Senior year. Think that would go over now?

Kim,
I never pass up dessert. Ref: Cayce's profile pics.

Mo,
You have my e-mail - let me know when you'll be in town, I'll give you my cell# not that I ever answer it according to my family, but i'll check messages. I'd love to see you. I've been working as an Event Coordinator professionally since August and before that as an Activities Director - but been doing it as an unpaid volunteer even longer.

I don't just plan weddings - i coordinate all kinds of events big and small. We did an 80's themed party for 5000 in Feb., and we cater small groups too, business lunches, bbq's, birthday parties. Pretty much everything. It's a lot of fun.

Kim, I wish I could trade out that "ice cream story for my spouse".

Yes, it was Gordon. He always tried to find a seat in the cafeteria without anyone around it. He used to eat a 1/2 a head of lettuce a day at lunch. And would swat his hands when he was trying to solve a problem while taking a test. He rode his bike to school, and one day some unkind people nailed him with water balloons. I thought it was quite sad! I actually tried to make friends with him, and had some luck for a while, but he had a difficult time with relationships. I wonder what happened to him after he graduated.

Kim, I think he went on to be a very successful Inventor.

Great minds think alike, is that it?!!

Did you mean Epiphany? And I was referring to Robert's prediction that Gordon was a famous inventor like himself!

How many of you remember the flooding in I believe 1970 & 72? I remember having water floating through our house and opening the door to have trash coming through the door because all the underground trash cans had surfaced. Some of you, that had cooler parents than mine let you go out and float around in the lovely water in inner tubes.

Floating down 86th street was a great hobby, damn Army Core of Engineers took all that away with the parks/wash flood system! I also like taunting cars on the corners after a hard rain and watch the wall of water take us off our feet. Only the strongest could stand-up through the tidal wave.

I remember that flood Kim. Thankfully my house didn't get flooded. I lived on the corner of Granite Reef and Bonita. I remember it was very flooded down 86th street (I think it was). I remember walking down there and watching other kids on rafts..and there were little frogs. It was an awesome sight, especially for a kid!

"KIM,

Just wait until he becomes a TEENAGER Shane...then we'll see if you're still singin the same tune! LOL!

Lincoln Drive became Lincoln River (the low point between Camelback and Mummy Mtns). WE had a back drive way that we, and some of our Lincoln Drive neighbors used. My dad was an city engineer at one time. He told the City not to allow building in these old washes that they were there for a reason. He just shook his head during the flooding.

In the winter of 1980 there was a lot of flooding, and only two ways across the Salt River. My job made me cross every day, and I remember waiting 2 hours to cross at Central

Kim,
the secret to life...(a well kept secret) is what a 1/2 a head of lettuce will do for some one.

If you want to know what suicide wing sauce did to Shane at lunch last Sat at Zipps, I'm sure he will tell you.:)

Bernina....at this point, anything with pulse...

Shane, Lisa's advice is sound--- once teenagers it is no longer "how are you today" it is "who are you today".

Doug, that is so true, lol!

Shane,
Talk to me in 5 to 10 years....enjoy it now buddy, lol!

Shane,

Don't be fooled thinking that boys are better than girls when they become teens. I have three teen boys and a teen daughter and actually she is the easy one to deal with! If you get by without any problems, than you are a much better parent than I am. And by the way, I still have great kids regardless of our differences of opinions!

So you and Doug were some of the lucky ones when the floods struck? As I remember it was only boys that were allowed to do the crazy stuff! We had water in our house for a while, and we had a lovely water mark about 3 feet up on our block wall in the back. We did end up getting new flooring out of the incident. A lovely shag to replace our very nice wool carpet and some equally wonderful linoleum!

Two out of three of my girls were more mature at 8 than at 14!..it's gotta be the hormone changes.
