Just an Arizona memory. I remember when I was 3 or 4 it snowed. I was so defistated that I could not go out and play in the snow, but Dale got to ride the horses in it. So Unfair.

Remember the CaveCreek kids bringing snow to school? That was fun.

About the canal that ran along Granite Reef.. My older sisters and I were there all the time! I remember someone tied a rope to one of those big trees so we could swing from it into the canal. It was so much fun!...One time we caught a whole bunch of cradads and put them in an ice chest and brought them home..mom was just a little surprised!

We built a little pool in the backyard for them and thought we make a home for the little crayfish. They left the pond, burrowed in the yard and died. . .still can remember the smell of dead, rotten crayfish!!!

FARRELLS!!! Loved the candy store. I have a picture from 1970 from my brother, Terry's birthday party and we're standing in front of Farrells. I really need a scanner!

Does anyone remember a tree house some one built in this big tree..it was at the end of Granite Reef heading south, on the N/E corner? (can't remember the cross street)..I remember playing in that tree house a few times and thought it was the neatest thing!

Totally remember the treehouse -- it was on the southeast corner of Granite Rf & Indian School. Long after the treehouse disappeared, the tree was still there. I swore to myself one day I'd stop and climb it before they took it down -- and indeed I did. Pulled my car over, parked, and climbed -- scared the heck out of myself -- IT WAS HUGE -- and I was no longer ten... They (whoever they is) tore it down within months after.

Mike DiDomenico has some new pictures up. He looks the same! It's so weird seeing some of your pictures. I don't think I look anything like i did in high school, but some of you I would recognized anywhere. You haven't changed much at all!

The 70's floods were intense near where I lived between Pima and 86th Street, on Bonnie Rose. I remember the water level climbing higher and higher. We put all our furniture up on the beds and prepared to evacuate. We watched someone paddle a row boat down Bonnie Rose! Somehow our house was a few inches higher than the rest. The water level never reached the threshold and our house was saved. Others were not so lucky. Termites were a problem for everyone for years to come.

Hey - anyone remember at Saguaro when it would rain a lot and we couldn't go out to the fields, we'd stay inside and play "battle ball". What a great game!

The Mohave teacher's cars - ah yes! I remember the ones everybody listed. Did our Mohave old coach really steal poor kid's bikes? That's pretty amazing! Does anyone remember coach's phrase that it was OK to put on the gym clothes to go out to the field? It was "uuuuuuuuuuugh boyzzzzzzzzz, DRESS OUT"!!

The Ranch House had the best 1.00 burger in town. Bashas was next store and had a great deli. I still am wondering what made you remember the Portofino and Kiva. This whole thread has me wondering if maybe we aren't part of some social experiment/study. Robert.............. ?

Our family never really went to fast food restaurants but I do remember when Hayden finally went through and you could drive to McDonalds at Gainey Ranch. I do remember going to Jack in the Box every summer in San Diego though!

Wow this forum is very addictive. Almost like our own little reality show. I find myself checking it almost daily to see who's talking about who, what & when. Good thing I have a long drive home, it gives me something to read on the way. What did we do before Blackberries?.......
Oh, maybe I should watch the road?

I remember going to McDonalds, but my dad only took us once a month or so and it was a BIG DEAL. If I'm remembering correctly, it didn't have a drive through and you had to order while outside, through a window..it wasn't close to our house either. Maybe in Phoenix (?)

Robert, why does your post say 11:05 PM? I think you're an hour later than me know, so it should be about 8:25 PM (?)

That's weird, last week in San Diego< I was told that my Phoenix time was the same as S.D..
Just for the record...my clock says 9:16 p.m.

If you can hold out...I would consider it an honor to treat you to a Big Mac. I'll bring one to the reunion.
