Mimi - Ravi Shankar, Nora's daddy, played with George Harrison in the Concert for Bangladesh. He also played at the Concert for George, where he played with (at least, was on the bill with) Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. I don't think he played with the Beatles or spent much, if any, time with them.
Jeff is right. Ravi Shanker did not play on any Beatles albums. He taught George Harrison how to play the sitar in 1965 and George then played it on various Beatles tunes such as Norwegian Wood.
Ravi Shankar... also was at Woodstock. He is not to be confused with Economist Ravi Bantar, Christian Evangelist Ravi Zacharias... or everyone's favorite SHS "food fight" item ravioli!!
