Brian was such a sweet person. If it weren't for him, I never would have gone to our 30th reunion. I was feeling awkward after such a long time and he talked to me and made me realize I had nothing to worry about. Because of him, I reconnected with many, many people and had a great time. I will always be greatful to him for that. As heartbroken as I am of his passing, I'm glad that he passed away doing something he absolutely loved to do...fly. You will always be remembered and loved. RIP Brian.

I reconnected with Brian years later at Black Forest Camp and Conference Center in Colorado Springs. where he was working with my brother-in-law on the ropes course they had.  It took me a moment to connect why I knew him and we both realized about the same time how we knew each other.  I told him my favorite memory of him was in Mrs. Hewitt's English class where he and Loren York were trying to act like Mrs. Hewitt.  I told him neither one of them could pull it off because they didn't have the sound of her nylons rubbing together as she walked down the hallway!  We spent a few minutes just chuckling over that.  Brian was a sweet man and he will be missed!

I just heard that Brian died last year.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Brian was my best friend all through junior high and high school. I have many fond memories of Brian like the time he nearly broke my hand with a pitch while practicing in his backyard, or the home movie parody of (S.W.A.T) calledSpecial  Weapons and Pies, a film we did for a class project. And the shannanegins at church retreats.

I even remember how proud he was when he got his first Gibson electric guitar.

I also had the honor to spend some time with Brian in Malibu while he was at Pepperdine. It was great. Almost magical.

My brother Steve gave Brian some flying lessons and Brian loved to fly.

I lost touch with him over the decades but we briefly reconnected for awhile in 2009.

I'll miss Brian. I still think of him often. I love him like a brother.

Rock On. Fly like an eagle---FLY!!!

R.I.P.

---John
