Ken Doan passed away around 1989. My parents' house was around the corner from his dad's house. He was a good friend the summer before 9th grade. I went to his funeral to support his dad, Jim, and met his mom for the first time. Both of Ken's parents liked my eulogy. I want Kenny to know I still enjoy life on the edge - just not the same edge he was on.
I did the first comment. I must have made a typo which I just corrected. My eldest was around 5 when I went to his funeral, so I think it was around 1989. The staff from 79isus must have used the date & time when they received the first notice from me. Not a lot of people went to the funeral. It wasn't very public because the death was so tragic.
