Jeffrey was one of the highlights of my high school experience, such a cool, graceful and intuitively with-it human being. I'll never forget the blast we had water skiing and what a sweet gentleman of a friend he was to me. I also always loved how much Jay McGuigan idolized Jeff O'Dell. Jay would say he practiced trumpet all summer long and couldn't come close to the way Jeff just pulled out his horn and improvised like a natural, only every time. Thanks for Jeff O'dell in my life! Ironically, Jeff is buried next to my little sister Lisa, who died July 4th, 1985. Whenever I visit my sister's grave, I'm reminded of Jeff.
