Joan was my grandmother or as we called her "grammy". She was always so good to us, taught us catechism and I remember random funny things about her like the way she smelled like the powder makeup you get in a compact - I love that smell and whenever I walk by someone who smells like that I smile and think of her. Also she made excellent potato salad and I remember being little and watching the disney movie Sleeping Beauty at her house with my little sister Cathy. Told you - random memories but they are all good ones. She was such a good person and I love and miss her very much! Loved all her jewelry and broaches too.

When my brother Mike and I were little she came over everyday to watch us. she would usually always bring us sweets like cookies and stuff. we would watch that old show,Chips the one about the two motorcycle cops. we would watch that ALL day long! haha it was fun though. she would always be sitting on our couch with her diet coke and a lemon wedge. i sit by her and we would talk and if i told her something that was funny or something that wasn't true she would laugh and say "oh go on!" i loved when she did that,i loved her laugh.
I just read about your memories of Grammy and I forgot that she used to say "oh go on!" I can TOTALLY picture her saying that and it makes me smile. I also remember like you said that she liked her coke with a lemon wedge and so do I - that must be where I got it from....
