James F. Bielik, 62, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away June 23, 2010, after a car accident in Rygate, Mont.

Jim graduated from the University of Scranton, earning a bachelor's and a master's degree. He was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry, for over 33 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas S. and Louise Bielik. Jim is survived by his brother, Nicholas Bielik and wife, Ann Marie, of Palm Desert, Calif.; and his sister, Barbara Fuhlage of Simi Valley, Calif.; three nieces; four nephews; as well as 13 great-nieces and nephews. Jim loved to travel.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Saint Therese Catholic Church, 35 Old River Road, Wilkes-Barre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Therese Church, Wilkes-Barre, where Jim was a member for many years. The burial will occur at a later date.
