Susan R. Scott, 56, of Allentown, died May 1 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Ronald S. Sam Scott. They celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary on April 24.

Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of Sally (Williams) Chernesky of Carlsbad, Calif., and the late Michael Chernesky. She was a supervisor for the Philadelphia Corporation on Aging for five years before retiring in 1999. Previously, she was the former executive director of the Lehigh County Area Agency on Aging-Crime Victim Council for two years.

She was a 1984 graduate of Marywood University with a masters degree in social work.

Survivors: Husband; mother; daughters, Bonnie V., wife of Todd Wolbach of Northampton, Heather L. Schaller of Bethlehem; sister, Linda, wife of Barrett Bower of Lexington, Ky.; grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Brandon.

Service: memorial, 1 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2004, St. Pauls U.C.C. Church, 19th Street and Lincoln Avenue, Northampton.
