So sorry to hear about Steve.  It really hits home how fragile life is when someone you know passes at an early age.  My sympathy to his family.

I didn't really know Steve but it is sad, as others commented, that another of our classmates passed away.   It reminds us that we need to hold on to those we care about and do the things we promised oursevles we would accomplish.   Somehow easier said than done.

I don't think I knew Steve but am sad for his family and that we have lost another classmate. Also, I am thankful for this wonderful internet site for our class.

Saddened to hear of Steve's passing. We were friends since pre- grade school and both moved to California around the same time, Steve to Northern Cal and me to SoCal. We managed to get together quite often thru the mid 70's. Steve loved to play cards from a young age and as those who grew up with him could attest, no matter what the game he usually won. RIP my friend and we' ll see you in that big casino in the sky.

Sandy, Steve was much more than a 'decent' guy. He was a great friend, he was a

brilliant student and a great husband and father.

I lost contact with him after high school, Steve and I went all through grade school together and he was SO smart!  Wish he had been able to be at the reunion   He is gone way too soon  we all need to cherish every day

I remember my last discussion Steve about 46 years ago when he complimented for having gotten into Columbia Law School. I've been out of touch with everyone for that long . Until recently Bob Steinberg and I have gotten together twice. I'm sorry I missed the recent union and hoping to connect with old friends either at the next one or before. I'd love to hear from any , all or you.

I'm retired but busy teaching Mindfulness Meditation, being a photographer, travelling internationally and being a big Warriors fan.

In addition to knowing Steve for our final two years at Central, Steve and I shared the experience of our freshman year at Lafayette.  We lived in the same dorm, saw each other frequetly, and often studied together for shared exams.  Although Steve left Lafayette after freshmen year, I continued to correspond with him for a few years, eventually losing touch.

I'm sorry to hear of his passing.  He was a classic "nice guy," with whom it was never a struggle to find agreeable topics of conversation.  I know his current friends and family will miss his kind nature and his sense of humor.
