Luther and I were noted for our running in plays for Joe Swift as messenger guards. Sometimes we had fun and confused Joe. Both are gone now but I will always cherish those times on the football field and other places.RIP pals.Oh the stories we will recount someday.

Luther was my first friend, We both grew up on Richmont St. In Green Ridge. We were both morning paperboys for the Tribune, attended the same schools and church, and often watched classic movies when they came on network television. While at Central, Luther did a wonderful drawing of our only family dog, "Happy." That drawing has a place of honor in our home. Luther was exactly what he appeared to be: a wholly honest, decent, kind and generous man. I shall miss him very much.

Unlike Barry and others, I did not know Luther well. What I did know about him I admired.
I admired his friendliness. I admired his positive approach, his intelligence, his talents. And now, I am able to admire his talent and skill at his art.
Somehow, I am comforted in knowing that his closest friends treasure his memory and the pieces of life that they shared.

Luther was a wonderful caring person.A good friend to my brother. I am so thankful to have one of his paintings of the shore, dunes and a lone gull. He dedicated the picture to Jim. Both Jim and I loved the ocean. Rest in peace you gentle giant. So glad we were able to talk at the reunionSandy Abda (King)

I just returned from an extened absence from the area to learn of Luther's passing. I am saddened to learn of his death. Luther and I grew up together through church activities and we later attended high school together. He was a class act and a real gentleman and I shall miss him. My sincere condolences to his family. Respectfully, John Young

So sorry to hear of Luthers' passing. Like Barry, we all grew up in the same neighborhood in Green Ridge and delivered papers together. Luther was quite simply a great guy who always seemed to have a happy attitude. Although we didn't get in contact often, when we did, it was just like we had spoken yesterday. My condolences to his family. He will be missed but never forgotten!. .

Luther has a fellow artist at Central and I got to know him when we worked on the art staff of "Impressions", our literary magazine. It was great to talk to him again at our 50th Reunion and to know that he continued to create art througout his career. He left a legacy with his stunning art (which was displayed at the Scranton Hilton), but also his ability to touch so many lives.
