Janet Rodney Trosino submitted the following comments: Ann was a dear friend of mine. She and I used to walk together to school at North Scranton Jr High and also to the Providence branch of the library in the summertime to get books to read. She married and lived in Factoryville and had a son. She worked in one of the banks in downtown Scranton. She had a son and passed away in March 1999 from a brain tumor. She wrote to me the Christmas before and said she had been happy with her life - a loving husband and a son. It's always sad to see good people die too young.

I remember Ann well so sad to see that the number of our classmates are no longer with us !

I have not seen Ann since our school days, but I have fond memories of her, especially as a classmate at Grant School (No. 1). She used to come to my house on occasion to play with me and my sister. I am very sorry she left us before her time.

Ann was my pre-school playmate. I remember sledding down our alleyway hill in the winters. We had so much fun together. We went to the same elementary school, junior high, and Central High School. She was my first friend from the age of four and was a wonderful friend. Even during her illness, she was kind enough to attend my father's funeral. Andrea (Yaswinski) Whittemore.
