Frederick W. Ilges, Jr., 58, died Friday, December 23, 2005, in Harrisburg. Born in Scranton, on December 17, 1947, he was the son of Frederick William Ilges, Sr. of York and the late Edna Mae Taylor Ilges. Mr. Ilges was a principal quality assurance analyst for NYFIX, Inc.
He was a graduate of Cornell University and received his Master Degree in Physics. He was the recipient of a Merit Scholarship Award. Frederick was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed fishing at the family lake house on Baylor's Lake. He also enjoyed playing tennis and spending time with his nephews and niece.
Mr. Ilges is also survived by two sisters, Lauren I. Burns of Harrisburg and Elizabeth A. Hersh of Emmaus; four nephews, Marc T. Burns, Samuel W. Burns, Christopher J. Hersh and Adam T. Hersh; and a niece Erin E. Baird.
A visitation will be held at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, on Tuesday, December 27, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. S. Ronald Parks, of Calvary United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross PA Capital Region, 1804 N. 6th St., Harrisburg, PA 17102.
