Robert Koppelman

Robert Steven Koppelman, 67, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., passed away June 15, 2015.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 18, at 2 p.m. at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 8135 W. McNab Road, Tamarac, Fla. A native of Scranton, Pa., Robert graduated from Scranton Central High in 1965, was a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity at Penn State and served overseas as a U.S. Air Force Sergeant during the Vietnam War.

He moved to South Florida in 1973, becoming one of the nation's premier rare coin dealers. He founded the leading coin-related website, CoinSite.com, and authored many publications on coins. Robert also served as president of Roko Design Group.

He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Sonia, both of Scranton. Robert was formerly married to Sybil Goren Henry and Rhonda Howard, and is also survived by his sister, Renee Singer; his nephew, Scott Singer (Bella); and grandnephew and grandniece, Daniel and Rachel Singer, all of Boca Raton, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tri-County Animal Rescue of Boca Raton, Fla., or another charity.
