Eugene Pelesh of Kingston, and Naples, Fla., passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, in Naples.
Gene was born Aug. 23, 1947, the son of the late Very Rev. Gregory H. Pelesh Sr. and Dorothy Pelesh.
He graduated from Penn State University, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta. He went on to further his education at the University of Maryland.
Early in his career, he worked for the National Security Agency and the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand. Gene was a certified public accountant working at Parente Beard, formerly Parente, Randolph, Orlando & Carey, for more than 33 years.
Gene was a member of the Westmoreland Club, Wilkes-Barre; Huntsville Golf Club, Dallas; Irem Shriners, Dallas; and The Club at the Strand, Naples, Fla. He was also very active in many community organizations in Pennsylvania.Gene was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his loving family, including his wife of 42 years, Carol (Schultz); their sons, John and his wife, Cassey, and their children, Cyrus, Lexi and Lucius, Saudi Arabia; and David, San Diego, Calif.
Also surviving are his sister, Joan Lengel, Moscow, Pa.; sister-in-law, Diane Pelesh, Ellicott City, Md.; father and mother-in-law, John and Rosemary Schultz, Dallas; brother-in-law, Jerry Schultz, Boston, Mass.; a niece and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, the Very Rev. Gregory H. Pelesh Jr., and brother-in-law, Jack Lengel.
The family will have a celebration of Gene's life at a later date in Pennsylvania.
