Robert Washo

Robert F. Washo, 55, of North Scranton, died Saturday evening at home after an illness. His wife is the former Ann Ristics.

Born in Peckville, he was a son of George and Raina Hall Washo, Scranton. He was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and attended the University of Scranton, where he was ROTC member. He was employed as production manager of Intermetro Industries. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the 28th Infantry Division. He was a member of St. Clare's Church, Scranton.

His favorite activity was spending time with his family, particularly with his children and grandchildren.

Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Cadwalder, Scranton, and Lauren Washo, Scranton; a son, Robert M. Washo, Scranton; a granddaughter, a grandson; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was also preceded in death by a brother, George H. Washo in 1988.

Private funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at the convenience of the family from the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave. Interment, private in Dunmore Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1101 Hill St., Jessup, 18434.
