David Brian White

A city man was killed and another seriously injured in a one-car crash early Saturday on Interstate Rt. 81 Lenox Twp, 2 miles south of the Lenox Interchange.

David White, 23, 1216 Myrtle St., was pronounced dead on arrival at 3:35 am in Community Medical Center. White was a passenger in the car. The driver is listed in "guarded" condition in CMC's Intensive Care Unit.

Mr. White was the son of Sarah Brooks Neuls and Walter K. White and his stepfather is Willard F. Neuls, all of this city. A city employee, he currently was working under the Public Employment Program in the Traffic Division.

He was a member of Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Central High School and was a veteran of he U. S. Army. He had attended the University of Scranton.

He also is survived by a brother, Arthur A., Dallas, Tex., and several cousins.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Miller Bean Funeral Home, 436 Cedar Ave., with services by Rev. Roderick Thompson, Westminster Presbyterian Church.
