Robert H. Williams, 52, of East Mountain, died Monday afternoon in Mercy Hospital. He and his wife, the former Lin Nasatka, were married 21 years.
Born in Scranton, son of Harry H. Williams, Wilkes-Barre, and the late Eleanor McAndrew Williams, he was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and the University of Scranton. He received his master's degree in biochemistry and performed post graduate work at the University of Notre Dame and developed several patents. He formerly was employed by RCA, Penn State and Fitchburg Coated Products. He was a consultant for the handicapped in adaptive technology and a ham radio operator. He was a member of the American Chemical Society.
Also surviving are two sons, Robert J. and Jeffrey M., both at home; four brothers, Richard, Walter and Ronald, all of Scranton; and Thomas, Lancaster; a sister, Mary Ellen Williams, Scranton; aunts, uncles, cousins; nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, East Mountain section.
Friends may visit the family Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m., at the August J. Haas Funeral Home Inc., 202 Pittston Ave.
