Michael Tepper

Michael Tepper, Scranton, died Wednesday evening at Allied Skilled Nursing Facility.

Born in Scranton, son of Clara Ginsberg Tepper, Scranton, and the late Alex Tepper, he was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and Keystone Junior College. He served in the Army, and was stationed in Korea. He and his father had operated Tepper's Tire Sales. He was active with numerous civic, community and religious organizations.

Also surviving are aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Arthur.

The funeral will be today at 12:30 p.m. from the Ziman Funeral Home Inc., 612 Gibson St., with services by Rabbi David Geffen. Interment, Temple Israel Cemetery, Dunmore.

Shiva will be at the residence at 1615 Linden St., Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m.; and Sunday and Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Home, 1101 Vine St., 18510; VNA Hospice of Lackawanna County, 301 Delaware Ave., Olyphant, 18447, or to the donor's favorite charity.
