Class Reunion Open to All
Posted Tuesday, March 27, 2012 02:44 PM

Greetings mates. In a meeting with Bill, Susan Craig, myself, Tim Davis, and Mike McClure Monday night at the Sandtrap it was agreed by the committee that the Saturday night event with be a multi-class event.

The idea is for the class of 72 to have their exclusive class event in the banquet hall portion of the Legion club and begin at say 6 PM. The bar area will be closed off by the partition. At around 8 PM the partition will be opened and we will join with all other class alumni who wish to join us.

The Friday night event will be a loosely organized event at Mike McClures restaurant. Mike will open his place for the weekend to all alumni and have an outdoor venue set up.

We will have a reunion central house if we can find one.

Any comments?

Sorry Chuck, I thought you hung up on me, maybe I turned my hearing aid off.

Lynn, It was great to see you as always, you look fantastic. I never knew Costco had such surprises.

The meeting was very productive and also included Larry Jackson and Kent Sturgeon, Kent was there to keep Larry in check and did a fine job.

Mike McClure is very excited about opening his place up for a Friday night and full weekend gathering spot. He has volunteered to buy some beer and oysters perhaps to help things along.Mikes place is small inside , but he does have a large grassy area in the back with horse shoe pits that he says he could put tents up and weather permitting would be a lot of fun. He admitted parking might be an issue, but said that Cabs were cheap. In my mind this is not the ideal spot for an event but with the lack of volunteers to organize anything it is likely the best we can do. All agreed that venue is secondary and that the group will enjoy moist anything as long as mates are there.

Tim Davis volunteered to help with both the legion and Mikes place. He was to get the menu items from the legion and report back.  There was some discussion about donating some food for the event as in fresh Tuna or Salmon that might be able to be rustled up. My idea about looking for road kill was quashed.

I was surprised to see how many other Alum's were aware of our event. I was at my brother in laws memorial service on saturday and Jill Picard, Helen Hanson and Nancy smith Pittard were there, (class of 70), they were all asking about the event and said they were looking forward to attending. Jill said her brother Mike, (Picard) was planning on attending.

That's the report. I am back in Florida now after 4 glorious days at the Oregon Coast. Weather was fantastic.
