Shirlee and I met at West Seattle High. She became a great friend and I remember spending a week one summer at her family's summer cottage at Hood Canal. Our friendship continued at the UW. Both of us were commuter students and were in several car pools together with Jerry Webber and Willy Brandal. It was great fun! I'm sorry to have lost track of her through the years and even sorrier to learn she has passed away.
