Colleen's mother worked with mine at the same telephone answering service downtown. For a time, Colleen also put on a headset there and worked a switchboard--and so came to get a kick out of my mother's rapid line of chatter.
Thirty years later, she was still getting a kick out of older women, running a van service to take them out shopping and to appointments every week.
