Margie was a Capitol Hill OG! We attended HNA in grade school & high school together. I remember 8th grade so well as a group of us would sit on Margie's steps after school, laughing & singing "He's So Fine" & "Do You LOVE me? (now that I can dance, dance, dance, DANCE! - watch me now!)" & vamping for any boys who wandered by. We wore demin skirts & madras blouses to parties in high school & thought we were so cool! And later, when Margie lived briefly back in Seattle as an adult, a party of "the gang" at her apartment near Broadway was crashed by some of our mothers - horrors! You've had a full life, Margie, lots of achievements to be proud of, as we all expected! I was so saddened to hear so casually about your passing a couple of months ago. I'll get the gang back together & give you a musical goodbye! Love you, old friend.
I am saddened to learn of Margie's passing. Margie was among that special Capitol Hill / St. Joe's / Holy Names group-- who welcomed the rest of us in for our high school years. Those were wonderful days. . I remember Margie well, and am thankful. . Prayers and warm thoughts. . Thank you, Anne, for sharing.
